Job Summary

The QAQC Manager is responsible for implementing, managing, and maintaining the Quality Assurance and Quality Control program for Industrial complex coatings construction projects. This role ensures all work complies with design specifications, customer requirements, industry codes, manufacturer specifications and company standards. The QAQC Manager will work closely with project management, field operations, 3rd party inspectors and clients to drive a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement across the project lifecycle.

Essential Job Responsibilities

Quality Management & Oversight:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain project-specific QAQC plans, procedures, and inspection/test plans in alignment with company standards and project requirements.
  • Lead QAQC kickoff and coordination meetings with project and client stakeholders.
  • Oversee all inspection activities, including mockup verification, workmanship checks, and coating system testing including but not limited to holiday testing, DFT, and adhesion testing.
  • Review and interpret, product data sheets, drawings, specifications, and submittals to ensure, application recording, proper mixing, installation, and inspection are compliant.

Documentation & Reporting:

  • Manage QAQC documentation, including inspection reports, non-conformance reports (NCRs), test results, and turnover packages.
  • Maintain accurate inspection logs and coordinate final quality turnover documentation to support closeout.
  • Utilize QAQC tools for inspection tracking, issue management, and documentation control.

Coordination & Leadership:

  • Provide leadership, mentoring, and technical guidance to production crews and inspectors.
  • Collaborate with construction and shop teams to resolve quality-related issues in a timely manner.
  • Support and participate in root cause analysis, corrective actions, and lessons learned initiatives.
  • Interface with clients, general contractors, and third-party inspectors to ensure alignment and compliance with quality expectations.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Conduct audits and surveillance to monitor adherence to quality standards.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and drive initiatives to enhance the company’s QAQC program.
  • Support training and development for field teams to reinforce best practices and code compliance.

Other duties may be assigned as needed to support business operations.

Minimum Qualifications

Required:

  • Minimum 5–7 years of QAQC experience in concrete and structural coating application, preferably in industrial projects.
  • NACE 2 or 3 certification.
  • Familiarity with paint testing procedures including holiday, DFT, adhesion, rub, and envirionmental testing.
  • Ability to read and interpret datasheets, drawings, specifications, and submittals.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making mindset with a focus on quality and accountability.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environments and manage multiple priorities.

Work Environment:

  • Indoor office setting with controlled temperature.
  • Outdoor industrial sites with exposure to noise, dust, chemicals, extreme weather, uneven terrain, or other environmental factors.
  • Travel requirements: traveling between jobs within the Phoenix metrepolitan area. Travel outside the area is about 15%.

This role requires compliance with all applicable safety regulations, personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements, and Loenbro's Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) policies.
