About the role

We are seeking a qualified QA/ QC Engineer to join our team. This individual will be responsible for implementing and monitoring all quality-related aspects of the Modular Chiller Plant & Industrial Refrigeration Projects across the Middle East and Africa Region, ensuring compliance with project and international standards. The candidate shall be familiar with all processes in the project department including Proposals, Design, Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Commissioning and Handover also will play a key role in conducting inspections, preparing reports, managing quality documentation throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement, maintain, and continually improve the Integrated Management System (IMS) across MCP and IR project activities, and conduct periodic audits to verify its effectiveness.
  • Develop and implement the Project Quality Plan (PQP) and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) for each assigned MCP or IR project and report on the Department's Quality performance to management on a regular basis.
  • Perform risk assessments to identify quality, design, and execution-related hazards across the project scope of work.
  • Conduct compliance audits to confirm that project execution meets contractual, regulatory, and international technical standards.
  • Carry out inspections, testing, and verification of mechanical, electrical and Control systems in accordance with approved drawings and specifications.
  • Witness and verify Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and site testing for Modular Chiller Plant (MCP) skids and packages prior to shipment and installation.
  • Issue and manage Inspection Requests, and coordinate inspection schedules with subcontractors, suppliers, and third-party inspection agencies.
  • Maintain material traceability and verify supporting documentation from suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors.
  • Prepare and maintain quality records, including MIRs, WIRs, NCRs, corrective/preventive action reports, and As-Built documentation.
  • Monitor and report non-conformances (NCRs) , lead root cause analysis, and follow up on corrective and preventive actions to closure.
  • Compile the Final Quality Dossier / Manufacturing Data Book (MDB) for project handover.
  • Monitor subcontractor and vendor quality performance, verifying compliance with project specifications and approved procedures.
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal project teams on quality matters throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Engage in weekly, monthly, and executive meetings to discuss project progress and quality issues, and prepare detailed reports summarizing quality metrics and findings.
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager, construction, and engineering teams to resolve quality-related issues and ensure quality considerations are integrated into project execution.

What you need to succeed:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or other relevant speciality.
  • Minimum 5–8 years of relevant experience, including in Electrical engineering.
  • Certified in welding inspection (e.g., CSWIP, CWI) and familiar with ASME, API, AWS standards.
  • NDT Certification
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 and project quality management systems.
  • Proficient in generating and managing quality documentation and reports.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills to work within a multicultural team environment.
  • Fluent in English and Hindi; proficiency in Arabic is an advantage.
