Job Title – QA/QC Engineer

Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and quality-focused QA/QC Engineer to ensure that all construction activities, materials, and workmanship comply with project specifications, quality standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining quality assurance systems, conducting inspections, managing documentation, and supporting the successful delivery of high-quality construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Assurance & Quality Control

• 
  Implement and monitor project quality assurance and quality control procedures.
• 
  Ensure construction activities are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
• 
  Develop and maintain Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), method statements, and quality documentation.
• 
  Conduct regular audits and inspections to verify compliance with quality requirements.

Site Inspections & Testing

• 
  Perform inspections of civil, structural, architectural, and finishing works.
• 
  Coordinate material inspections, testing activities, and laboratory reports.
• 
  Verify that all materials used on-site meet approved specifications and standards.
• 
  Ensure corrective actions are implemented for identified quality issues and non-conformities.

Documentation & Compliance

• 
  Maintain quality records, inspection reports, NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports), and corrective action reports.
• 
  Review contractor quality documentation and ensure compliance with project requirements.
• 
  Prepare quality reports and submit updates to project management.
• 
  Ensure compliance with local authority regulations, project specifications, and industry standards.

Contractor & Consultant Coordination

• 
  Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and project teams regarding quality-related matters.
• 
  Participate in quality meetings and project progress reviews.
• 
  Support site teams in resolving quality issues and implementing preventive measures.
• 
  Assist in obtaining approvals for materials, inspections, and completed works.

Continuous Improvement

• 
  Identify opportunities to improve quality systems and construction processes.
• 
  Analyze recurring quality issues and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
• 
  Promote quality awareness across project teams and contractors.
• 
  Support implementation of best practices and lessons learned across projects.

Handover & Project Close-Out

• 
  Participate in pre-handover inspections and snagging activities.
• 
  Ensure all quality documentation is complete and properly maintained.
• 
  Verify completion of corrective actions prior to project handover.
• 
  Support final inspections and client acceptance processes.

Health, Safety & Environmental Compliance

• 
  Ensure quality activities are conducted in compliance with health, safety, and environmental requirements.
• 
  Participate in site safety inspections and risk assessments when required.
• 
  Promote adherence to company policies and regulatory standards.

Qualifications & Experience

• 
  Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• 
  Professional certifications related to quality management are an advantage.
• 
  5–10 years of QA/QC experience within construction, real estate development, infrastructure, or contracting projects.
• 
  Experience in residential, commercial, mixed-use, or high-rise developments is preferred.
• 
  Strong knowledge of construction quality standards, inspection procedures, and testing requirements.
