Job Description

QA/QC Engineer with 8+ years of onsite work experience in Residential/ commercial building projects.

Ensures projects meet quality standards, building codes, and specifications by developing, implementing, and monitoring project-specific QA/QC plans. Key roles include conducting site inspections (RCC, masonry, finishing), material testing, managing non-conformance reports (NCRs), coordinating with consultants, and overseeing final handover documentation.

  • 1. Quality Assurance & Planning

  • Review 'Good for Construction' (GFC) drawings, specifications, and project plans to prevent rework and dimensional errors.
  • Assist in the implementation of the Project Quality Plan (PQP) and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs).
  • Prepare and implement checklists for various construction stages, such as formwork, steel reinforcement, concrete pouring, masonry, and plastering.
  • 2. Site Quality Control & Inspections

  • Conduct daily inspections of civil, structural, and finishing works (waterproofing, tiling, flooring, painting, etc.).
  • Establish QA/QC procedures, ITPs, checklists, and method statements specific to high-rise luxury construction.
  • Oversee concrete works-monitor slump, prepare cube registers, and manage slump/cube testing results.
  • Check and verify the quality of incoming materials against approved submittals before they are used on-site.
  • Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and surveillance
  • Raise Inspection Requests (IRs) and coordinate walkdowns with consultants, architects, and clients.
  • 3. Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain comprehensive quality documentation, including material testing checklists, calibration logs for testing equipment, and non-conformance reports.
  • Prepare Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) and Site Observation Reports (SOR) for any deviations and track them until corrected.
  • Compile handover documents, red-line drawings, and as-built drawing verifications.
  • Diploma/ Degree in Civil Engineering.

  • 8-10 years of hands-on experience in residential or high-rise building projects.
  • Deep knowledge of finishing works, structural QA/QC processes, Non-Conformance Management, and local building codes.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, excellent coordination skills, and a high attention to detail.
