QA/QC CoordinatorThe QA/QC Coordinator will work directly with the project execution and supervision team to ensure that work completed is in accordance with the project specifications.
This position will be based in Calgary.
Work closely with the project team and trade partners concerning quality and daily inspections.
Perform inspections for concreting work including rebar, formwork, embeds, anchor bolts, overall readiness for pours, pouring activities, repairs, etc.
Complete other QA inspections for project work scopes (civil, structural steel, roofing, MEP, finishes, etc.)
Review and verify test results from 3rd party inspection agencies
Review quality documentation from subcontractors
Support the project team with the implementation of the Project Quality Plan.
Develop written plans and procedures for project specific activities to supplement task planning
Generate Non-Conformance Reports when required and coordinate with Bird team, Subcontractors, and Clients for disposition and closure
Support the implementation of the deficiency process, conducting walkthroughs with the project team and the trade partners and ensuring the deficiencies are properly tracked
Support the team in documenting the projects status through 3D site captures.
Bachelor’s Degree or diploma in Engineering, or related discipline
Minimum three years’ experience in construction (preferably in inspection, survey, supervision roles)
Able to read and interpret civil drawings
Experience using CSA standards and building code
