About the role
As Projects SMP QA/QC Advisor, you will provide Quality Assurance and Quality Control support to the MPMS Projects team at APLNG Curtis Island Working closely with the Projects Superintendent, QA/QC Lead, subcontractors and suppliers, you will ensure fabrication and installation activities meet contractual, statutory and client quality requirements.
This role is key to maintaining compliance with management systems, supporting project delivery, and driving a strong quality and continuous improvement culture across both workshop fabrication and on‑site installation scopes.

Key Responsibilities
• Provide QA/QC support across SMP project scopes, including offsite fabrication and onsite installation.
• Develop, implement and maintain Project Quality Plans and associated documentation.
• Lead quality performance initiatives and support continuous improvement programs.
• Plan and coordinate supplier inspections, reviews and final releases in line with project requirements.
• Review drawings, specifications and scopes of work to plan QA/QC activities effectively.
• Manage MDRs, SDRLs, NCRs, punch lists and as‑built documentation.
• Support construction teams through inspections, work pack development and handover activities.
• Promote compliance with UGL, APLNG and client quality systems and procedures.
About you
• Tertiary or trade qualification in a relevant discipline (Quality, Mechanical, Welding or similar).
• Demonstrated experience in QA/QC roles within Oil & Gas, SMP fabrication and site installation.
• Strong working knowledge of QA welding standards and quality control processes.
• Experience supporting project and shutdown environments across workshop and field settings.
• Lead Auditor qualification to ISO 9001 (preferred).
• Strong documentation, audit and problem‑solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic document management systems.
• Strong interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills.
