Job Description


This is a remote position.


We are seeking a
QA Tester Lead

to join our team, candidate will be responsible for the project's test strategy, test approach, test planning, test preparation, test documentation, and the day-to-day management and execution of the testing phase of the project, including leading testing teams to deliver the project(s) that span across business units.


The lead will manage QA resources, schedules, and adhere to quality gates and SDLC guidelines throughout the project life cycle. This also includes managing QA multiple environments, QA Testers, issues, and risks.


The QA Test Lead will work directly with the Project Manager, Client stakeholders and 3rd party vendor to manage and complete all assigned project deliverables.


The QA Test Lead will run the testing phases of the project on a day-to-day basis within established constraints. The QA Test Lead is also accountable for managing system integration(SIT), QA unit, regression and User Acceptance testing.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Works effectively with all groups to assist in building project plans and updating status

  • Accountable for delivery of the testing phase of multiple releases, managing defect resolution and ensuring quality are attained

  • Define Test Approach and Standards for testing

  • Determine QA and UAT Schedules, aligning QA and business resources

  • Determine all testing environment requirements to support project and production support tracks

  • Document and execute test requirements, test scenarios and test scripts

  • Coordinate and communicate integrated testing requirements

  • Provide weekly status of testing to project management

  • Facilitate team meetings effectively, running daily defect triage and QA staff meetings

  • Measure and monitor progress during testing cycles

  • Review test scripts and test scenarios of QA team to ensure quality

  • Plan and schedule bug release schedules


Requirements


Skills Needed:


  • Minimum of 8+ years of demonstrated experience leading QA teams and the delivery of large projects with complex initiatives managing multiple testers

  • Minimum of 5+ years’ experience conducting systems integration testing (SIT)

  • Knowledge in Data warehouse testing

  • In depth experience in SDLC methodologies, Agile, SCRUM/Waterfall and best practices

  • Comprehensive understanding of multiple software testing methodologies and processes.

  • Proficient with QA tools, such as JIRA, TestRail and QTest.

  • Experience with automated testing a plus

  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously.

  • CSTE certification is a plus.
