QA Tester

Minimum Requirements:

Qualifications and Experience

Bachelors degree in computer science.
7+ years of strong testing experience.
4+ years of experience in Test Automation and microservices.
Familiar with testing one or more programming languages as appropriate for specific departmental requirements.
System Design experience (advantageous).

Additional Requirements

Mathematical Models Testing.
Intermediate Excel (creation of test harness in Excel).
ETL Testing.

Responsibilities

Create, debug, verify, maintain, and update technical test scripts for API testing.
Test the functionality of systems designed to address business requirements, preventing errors/defects in live systems through change control and improvement.
Support applications with an understanding of system integration, test planning, scripting, and troubleshooting.
Review project proposals, evaluate alternatives, provide estimates, and make recommendations.
Identify potential process improvement areas and recommend approaches.
Perform automated testing with tools like Git, JMeter, and Postman.
Understand and execute test processes, including requirement analysis, test scenario design, test case creation, test scripting, and reporting to stakeholders.
Validate content from XML, databases, and flat files using scripts.
Write tests in JAVA.
Test RESTful APIs.
Work with Atlassian tools such as Confluence and JIRA.
Use Jenkins to build CI/CD pipelines.
Utilize database and SQL for data validation (extract and write data queries).
Automate API testing frameworks.
Test Webservices (Proxy/Business).
Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Develop skills in Selenium scripting, execution, and reporting.
