Job Title: Steel Fabrication QA Coordinator

We are seeking an experienced Steel Fabrication QA Coordinator to join our manufacturing and production team in Wyong, New South Wales. As a QA Coordinator, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of steel fabrication and weld processes and products by implementing and maintaining quality assurance procedures. You will work closely with production teams to identify areas for improvement, conduct inspections, and ensure compliance with industry standards.

Skills:

- Familiarity with quality assurance procedures and techniques

- Excellent attention to detail

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal

- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Responsibilities:

1. Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance procedures for steel fabrication processes.

2. Conduct regular inspections on raw materials, welding operations, finished products, etc., ensuring compliance with relevant standards.

3. Collaborate with production teams to identify areas for process improvement.

4. Investigate non-conformances or defects in products or processes; determine root causes; recommend corrective actions; verify their effectiveness.

5. Prepare detailed inspection reports documenting findings and recommendations.

6. Monitor the implementation of corrective actions recommended during inspections or audits.

7. Train employees on quality control methods to improve awareness throughout the organization.

8. Keep up to date with industry regulations regarding steel fabrication standards.

9. input and partake in weekly Toolbox talks.

Qualifications:

1. Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role within the manufacturing industry (steel fabrication preferred).

2. Knowledgeable about relevant Australian standards for steel fabrication and welding (e.g., AS/NZS 1554).

3. Familiarity with ISO 9001 Quality Management System is highly desirable.

4. Certification in Quality Assurance/Control is preferred but not mandatory.

5.Trade qualification in Fabrication and engineering essential.

6. Excellent technology skill including Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel

7. Utilizing iPad/Tablet to record QA documentation.

8. Reporting system experience (desirable)
