At our Green Bay facility, we produce and package dairy and non‑dairy sauces, including queso, BBQ, icing, and marinara, for our customers across the country. Our team supports both refrigerated and shelf‑stable products that are made with a focus on quality, safety, and consistency.

  • 1st Shift - 4:50am-1:00pm, Monday through Friday
  • Overtime is required based on business and production needs and is typically planned and posted in advance

Perform microbiological testing on food products and environmental samples to support food safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. Analyze and interpret laboratory results to identify microorganisms and assess product safety. Maintain laboratory operations through the use and care of testing equipment, materials, and approved testing methods. Support continuous improvement, research activities, and method development to enhance laboratory effectiveness. Communicate results and technical information to support operational decision-making and customer needs.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform microbiological testing for pathogenic and indicator organisms, including sample dilution, preparation, enrichment, isolation, analysis, interpretation, and reporting of results
  • Prepare microbiological media, sterilize testing materials and instruments, and maintain aseptic laboratory conditions to support accurate and reliable testing activities
  • Calibrate, monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain laboratory equipment to support operational readiness, testing accuracy, and regulatory compliance
  • Interpret test results, verify control performance within established tolerance ranges, and document findings in accordance with laboratory, company, and regulatory requirements
  • Conduct self-audits and monitor laboratory practices to identify improvement opportunities and maintain compliance with quality, food safety, and regulatory standards
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment while planning and prioritizing daily activities to meet testing schedules and operational deadlines
  • Support research and laboratory improvement initiatives by gathering data, assisting with analysis, documenting findings, and evaluating current and proposed testing methodologies
  • Assist with the implementation, validation, and continuous improvement of microbiological testing methods, procedures, and laboratory processes
  • Communicate testing results, status updates, and technical information to management, customers, and other stakeholders, and provide technical support related to microbiological testing activities
  • Participate in training, continuing education, and technical seminars to maintain and expand knowledge of microbiological practices, laboratory equipment, and testing procedures
  • Follow established company policies, laboratory standards, and regulatory requirements to support safe, compliant, and effective laboratory operations

Qualifications

Education/Experience:

  • Undergraduate degree in microbiology, biology, biochemistry, cell biology, chemistry, or related curriculum (or equivalent combination of experience and education)
  • 0 to 1 year of related experience
  • Certification and/or License – Current, valid, regulatory certifications to perform all required analyses in the assigned labs

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of microbiology research and methods and knowledge of best practices in scientific methods, microbiology, or related methods
  • Knowledge of laboratory process skills
  • Knowledge of and skill with Microsoft Office Suite and company computer systems
  • Able to communicate effectively to ensure customers’ needs and requirements are met
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Able to work under general supervision
  • Able to work with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Able to follow directions and meet deadlines
  • Skill in analytical thinking and problem solving
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English
