Azelis Denmark in Store Heddinge is looking for a QA Manager, Smoke Production to further support our disruption of the industry – if you’re up for the challenge, you’ve come to the right place!

The mission

Our new QA Manager, Smoke Production will support the mission of driving and ensuring the Quality Management System and certifications needed at the Smoke Factory in Store Heddinge, Denmark, as well as manage the day-to-day QA related activities at the site. The role will also be responsible for the laboratory work on site, and hereto related quality control tasks. Hence, the role will be focused on both laboratory responsibilities and quality management.

Main accountabilities of the role

  • Responsible for the QMS system at the site

  • Responsible for the FSSC 22000 certification, including implementation and maintenance, and leading various audits (FSSC 22000, Kosher, Halal, Danish Veterinary and Food Administration (FVST), etc.)

  • Prepare, review, and validate quality documentation and procedures, including food safety inspections

  • Monitor and implement new requirements related to FSSC 22000 and other relevant standards/ requirements/ regulatory requirements

  • Prepare and manage documentation for own-brand products manufactured at the site

  • QA approval of new raw materials and suppliers and maintenance of raw material documentation

  • Plan and conduct the annual management review

  • Quality-related training of production personal

  • Prepare and close deviation reports

  • Responsible for recall and traceability testing annually

  • Support on product non-conformities from customers and handle sample shipments

  • Responsible for the laboratory and day-to-day activities; including calibration of equipment and ensuring correct documentation

  • Perform internal laboratory analyses and coordinate external analyses

  • Carry out quality control in production and continuous sampling

The individual we’re looking for

We’re looking for a colleague with a proven track record of quality control and food safety who excels within the below experience and skills:

Professional experience

  • Experience from similar roles within the food ingredient and/or food production industry

  • Technical background and skills within the food ingredient and/or food production industry

  • Experience and sound knowledge about food certifications and audits; you’ve preferably owned these domains previously

  • Laboratory and sensorial experience

Personal skills

  • You possess strong communication skills whether it’s communication with your internal or external stakeholders – both English and Danish are required

  • You’re comfortable working with technology and software such as Microsoft Office, CRM, and ERP
