Job Description

Syngenta is a leading developer and producer of seeds. We bring farmers stronger, more vigorous, resistant plants, including innovative hybrid varieties and biotech crops that can thrive even in challenging growing conditions. Each of our 28,000 employees in more than 90 countries work together to solve one of humanity’s most pressing challenges: growing more food with fewer resources. A diverse workforce and an inclusive workplace environment are enablers of our ambition to be the most collaborative and trusted team in agriculture.

Into action

At Syngenta, our goal is to build the most collaborative and trustworthy team in agriculture, providing top-quality vegetable seeds. To support this mission, we are seeking a QA Lead for the EAME region. This role sits at the heart of our Quality Management System, driving governance, continuous improvement, audit excellence and risk assessment across a broad and complex organisation. If you thrive on influencing without authority, connecting people across departments, and turning quality principles into practical outcomes, this is the role for you.

The challenge

  • Own the Quality Management System framework and methodology for the EAME region following Global procedures and requirements, ensuring full alignment with ISO 9001 principles, governance standards, controlled documentation, and process‑based management across all functions.
  • Govern the non‑conformance system, ensuring the ability to define accurate problem statements, conduct structured root cause analysis, and verify that corrective and preventive actions are effectively implemented, sustained, and auditable.
  • Develop and manage the EAME audit programme, assign the right expertise per country/departments, and ensure that appropriate assessments are in place across production, supply, commercial, R&D, and supporting functions.
  • Drive continuous improvement through process mapping, lean principles, and risk management, building on the strong progress already made within P&S.
  • Build and coordinate the Quality Ambassadors Network across the organisation, connecting stakeholders from P&S, R&D, commercial, and quality functions.
  • Develop and deliver training to embed quality standards and a quality culture across departments and regions
  • Influence and advise senior stakeholders without direct authority, translating QMS concepts into actionable improvements

Qualifications

Your profile

  • Proven experience in Quality Assurance or Quality Management, with a strong working knowledge of ISO 9001
  • Hands-on audit experience, including planning, execution, and follow-up across multiple sites or functions
  • Strong understanding of QMS governance, process mapping, and risk management
  • Ability to influence and build confidence without formal authority - you work across organisational boundaries and bring people along
  • Experience working across different cultures and geographies, with the ability to adapt your approach accordingly
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills, including the ability to train and coach others on quality topics
