Job Description

Are you passionate about building quality standards for high-load financial systems where the cost of failure is measured in real money, reputation, and production incidents? Do you have deep experience in fintech, trading platforms, or distributed systems testing? If so, we are looking for a Head of QA to lead quality engineering across our crypto exchange platform.

In this role, QA is not just about validating releases — it is a core engineering function responsible for ensuring correctness, resilience, and reliability across the entire product ecosystem.

You will own the QA strategy for our trading infrastructure, including matching engine, risk systems, spot & derivatives trading, custody, market-data services, APIs, and client-facing applications.

Key Responsibilities

QA Strategy & Leadership

• Define and execute a company-wide QA strategy and testing architecture.
• Build and lead a team of QA engineers and automation specialists.
• Establish quality gates, release readiness criteria, and testing standards.
• Partner closely with Engineering, SRE, and Product teams throughout the development lifecycle.
• Trading Systems & Distributed Architecture Testing
• Design testing approaches for matching engine, liquidation flows, ADL scenarios, balances, PnL consistency, and risk systems.
• Implement deterministic replay, property-based and fuzz testing methodologies.
• Develop end-to-end and contract testing across distributed services and APIs.
• Ensure system correctness under high concurrency, failures, and race conditions.

Performance & Reliability Engineering

• Own load, stress, and performance testing processes.
• Monitor latency and throughput regressions between releases.
• Improve staging environments to closely simulate production workloads.
• Drive incident analysis from a QA perspective and eliminate entire classes of failures.

Process Automation & Quality Culture

• Improve automation frameworks, CI integrations, and regression pipelines.
• Develop realistic market simulators and test data generation strategies.
• Drive a strong engineering quality culture where testing is part of the definition of done.

Experience & Skills

• 7+ years in QA engineering, including 3+ years in leadership roles.
• Strong fintech / trading / exchange domain experience.
• Deep understanding of distributed systems, eventual consistency, and fault tolerance.
• Hands-on experience with automation frameworks and performance testing tools.
• Experience leading QA teams and building testing processes from scratch or scaling existing ones.
• Ability to work closely with developers on architecture, specifications, and release planning.
  

Technical Environment

• C# / .NET 8+, gRPC, Kafka, NATS, PostgreSQL, Redis.
• Kubernetes, GitLab / GitHub Actions, Prometheus, Grafana, Loki.
• Microservice architecture with high-load distributed services.
