Job Description

Riot Games was established in 2006 by entrepreneurial gamers who believe that player-focused game development can result in great games. In 2009, Riot released its debut title League of Legends to critical and player acclaim. As the most played video game in the world, over 100 million play every month. Players form the foundation of our community and it’s for them that we continue to evolve and improve the League of Legends experience.

We’re looking for humble but ambitious, razor-sharp professionals who can teach us a thing or two. We promise to return the favor. Like us, you take play seriously; you’re passionate about games. We embrace those who see things differently, aren’t afraid to experiment, and who have a healthy disregard for constraints.

That's where you come in.

At Riot, we believe Quality is a set of values, practices, and behaviors that inform every part of the development process. By honing our craft of quality and demonstrating cross-discipline partnerships, we help Riot sustainably craft excellent experiences for players, globally.

QA Engineers are champions for quality, focused on testing to ensure best in practice. We create test plans and evaluate both the functional and subjective caliber of projects for a Riot development team. As every project is different, we listen and improve, to put players and their team first, and to solve ambiguous and complex problems. Most importantly, it’s our passion for quality that ensures QA Engineers help us improve processes and deliver better player experiences.

As a QA Engineer (Contractor) on the Wild Rift team, you will lead the automated testing ecosystem and playtest pipeline to ensure high-quality player experiences. You will drive the technical direction of automation frameworks, support live operations testing, and coordinate playtests from planning through feedback collection. • Tech and AG Support (e.g.SDKupdates, HS testing for new patch promotions)
  • Drive the Automation Testing (template events, configurations, etc) implementation along with the events QA team
  • Integrate automated test suites into the build pipeline (Jenkins, GitHub Actions) to provide rapid feedback to the dev team.
  • Work closely with the LQA team and stabilize the test environment.
  • Support for extra events and related compliance
  • Partner with product teams to align PlayTest plans from test goal readiness to results collection, collect and give feedback to developers.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years in software or game QA, with multiple product launches in live environments
  • Experience with automated testing and tooling
  • Familiar with events testing in games and sensitive to the configuration changes
  • Deeply involved in the automation of game packaging, incremental resource updates and build generation
  • Deep understanding of game block scenes and know how to assess them in scripts
  • Strong communication and stakeholder alignment skills
  • Experience in mobile automated build pipelines is highly preferred
  • Fluent in Mandarin and English

Desired Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with agile development and testing methodologies
  • QA experience working across multiple platforms (mobile, console, PC)
  • Preferred Licenes/certifications
    • ISTQB Foundation Level
