Te Tūranga – About the role

Join our Quality Engineering Practice for 12 Month Fixed Term Contract and play a key role in ensuring our SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central platform delivers a reliable, secure and seamless experience for our people.

As a SAP SuccessFactors Quality Engineer, you’ll work across core HR processes, employee lifecycle changes, workflows, permissions, HR data and integrations, helping ensure everything is thoroughly tested and ready for release.

What you’ll do

  • Design, prepare, and execute functional, integration, regression and release testing across SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central.
  • Validate end-to-end employee lifecycle processes, including hire, rehire, transfer, promotion, job change, manager change, leave of absence, termination, retirement, and employee data updates.
  • Validate HR data, organisational structures, workflows, business rules, permissions and effective-dated changes.
  • Test integrations between SuccessFactors Employee Central and downstream systems such as payroll, identity and access management, reporting platforms, learning, recruitment, time and attendance, rostering, finance, or data platforms.
  • Validate inbound and outbound interface behaviour, including file-based integrations, APIs, middleware-driven flows, error handling, and reconciliation.
  • Identify, manage and retest defects through to resolution.
  • Support UAT and work closely with HR, Payroll, People Systems, Product Owners and technical teams.
  • Contribute to test automation using Tricentis TOSCA where it adds sustainable value.
  • Share knowledge and contribute to continuous improvement across our QA Community of Practice.

He kōrero mōu - About you

  • Strong SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central testing experience, including configuration changes, enhancements, integrations and release cycles.
  • A solid understanding of Employee Central data and HR processes, including employee profile, personal information, employment and job information, foundation objects, positions and organisational structures.
  • Experience validating business rules, workflows, role-based permissions and data propagation.
  • Strong experience with integration and regression testing, ideally across SuccessFactors and systems such as Payroll, Identity & Access Management, reporting, Learning, Recruitment, Time & Attendance or Finance.
  • The ability to test and validate inbound and outbound interfaces, APIs, integration files, middleware flows, error handling and data reconciliation.
  • Experience with Tricentis TOSCA or other test automation tools would be highly valued.
  • Exposure to other SAP SuccessFactors modules, SAP Integration Centre, OData APIs, Compound Employee API, Integration Suite or middleware would be advantageous.
  • Familiarity with test management tools such as HP ALM, qTest, Xray, Zephyr, or TestRail, and documentation tools such as Confluence or SharePoint.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with business, functional, and technical stakeholders.
