About the Role
We are hiring a QA Engineer to test our B2B payments platform. You will own quality across end-to-end payment workflows — business onboarding, bank account verification, ACH and card payment processing, approval workflows, and fund transfers — working closely with developers and product managers in an Agile team.
We are looking for someone who has hands-on experience testing payment systems — ideally covering both ACH/bank transfers and card payments. You are required to have experience in payments or banking product and understand how money moves through a system.
What You Will Do
• Write and execute test cases for end-to-end payment flows — ACH transfers, card payments, payment approvals, refunds, and status tracking
• Test business onboarding and verification flows — KYB/KYC, bank account validation, and identity verification steps
• Run regression testing each sprint, covering multiple payment modes and coordinating with developers on configuration changes between runs
• Validate payment data accuracy across the UI and backend — amounts, statuses, account details, and transaction records
• Log bugs in Azure DevOps with clear reproduction steps, severity classification, and links to the relevant sprint task
• Perform impact analysis when new features arrive — identify which payment flows could be affected and cover them proactively
• Communicate QA sign-off for Payments Module at each release gate with a clear summary of coverage and open issues
What We Are Looking For
• 4–6 years of QA experience, with at least 3+ years testing payments, banking, or financial services products
• Hands-on experience testing card payment flows — authorisation, capture, refunds, chargebacks, or card tokenisation
• Experience with ACH, bank transfers, or other payment rail testing is a strong plus
• Familiarity with KYB / KYC onboarding flows and identity/bank verification testing
• Ability to write structured test cases independently — clear preconditions, test data, steps, and expected results
• Comfortable with Azure DevOps for test management and defect tracking
• Basic SQL — able to query the database to verify payment records and backend state
• Strong attention to detail with financial data — amounts, currencies, account numbers, and status transitions
Nice to Have
• Experience with payment gateways or processors — Stripe, Adyen, Braintree, Dwolla, or similar
• Knowledge of card network rules — Visa/Mastercard authorisation flows, decline codes, or 3DS
• Exposure to B2B payment platforms, accounts payable, or invoice-based payment workflows
• Experience with Postman or basic API testing for payment endpoints
