Job Description:
A leading Canadian public health organization is seeking an Intermediate QA Engineer to join its digital health and information services division, specifically supporting a critical regional vaccine management platform. In this contract role, you will be responsible for defining and executing comprehensive test strategies by meticulously analyzing business requirements and reviewing technical documentation. Acting as a core technical resource, you will design, maintain, and execute automated test scripts to ensure platform reliability, while actively reviewing test cases authored by peer testers and pivoting to support manual testing frameworks when necessary. Working collaboratively within a regional digital health ecosystem, you will participate in defect triage sessions to track, prioritize, and drive bugs to resolution. This position requires a proactive professional with strong automation capabilities, exceptional analytical skills, and the agility to ensure high-quality software delivery within a fast-paced public healthcare environment.


Requirements


  • Test Planning & Requirement Analysis:
    Ability to review complex technical documents and thoroughly analyze business requirements to design detailed, comprehensive test plans.


  • Automated Testing (Core):
    Experience in creating, maintaining, and executing automated test scripts, as well as reviewing automated test cases created by other team members.


  • Manual Testing Support:
    Willingness and capability to perform manual testing when automated coverage is insufficient or as required by the sprint.


  • Defect Management & Triage:
    Active and experienced participation in defect triage meetings (identifying, logging, prioritizing, tracking, and assigning bugs).
