QA Engineer (Automated) – Level 3

Location: Austin, TX (Hybrid – Local candidates only)
Duration: 06/02/2026 – 08/31/2026 (3 months)
Rate: $70–$75/hour C2C
Positions: 1

We are seeking a highly experienced QA Engineer (Automated) – Level 3 to support quality assurance efforts for a Contract Operations application within a major system modernization initiative. This role focuses on ensuring the reliability, performance, and quality of an enterprise application designed to enhance contract management, monitoring, and compliance.

This is a senior-level role requiring strong expertise in test automation, manual testing, and Agile methodologies, along with a high degree of independence, creativity, and technical leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright or similar frameworks
• Create and execute manual and automated test cases
• Define test strategies, scenarios, and execution plans
• Perform manual testing as required and track test execution results
• Establish and maintain automated test schedules and reporting processes
• Log, track, and manage defects using Jira
• Develop and maintain Requirements Traceability Matrices (RTM)
• Conduct performance testing and analyze results
• Collaborate within an Agile/Scrum environment
• Support development teams across Dev, Test, UAT, and Production environments
• Troubleshoot test failures and improve automation reliability
• Lead or support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities
• Provide on-call support as needed

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in QA automation testing
• 8+ years of experience creating QA test scripts
• 8+ years of performance testing experience
• 10+ years of manual test execution experience
• Strong ability to work independently on complex tasks with minimal supervision

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with:
  • JavaScript, HTML
  • Playwright, WebdriverIO, JMeter
• 5+ years in automated test reporting
• 3+ years in Agile tools and methodologies (Scrum, Jira, XRay, Zephyr)
• Experience with accessibility testing

Work Environment & Schedule

• Hybrid Schedule:
  • Onsite: Monday–Tuesday
  • Remote: Wednesday–Friday
• Work hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (excluding Texas state holidays)
• Location: Austin, TX
• Must be local to the Austin, TX area (no relocation candidates accepted)

Additional Requirements

• Availability for after-hours, weekend, or holiday work as needed
• On-call support may be required
• All travel and related expenses are not reimbursable
• Interviews will be conducted via Microsoft Teams
