One of our direct client is urgently looking for a QA Engineer @ Sunnyvale CA

TITLE: QA Engineer

LOCATION: Sunnyvale CA

Duration: 6 to 12+ Months


We are looking for a passionate, responsible Quality Engineer to join Inkiru team @Walmart Global Tech.

You will have the opportunity to be the gate keeper for ensuring quality, stability and successful launch of

various products and services Walmart offers, both online and in-store. In this role, you will be

coordinating the End-to-end testing tasks in QA and production environment and oversee the new

features sign off before they get launched in production to our customers.

Responsibilities

-Be the point of contact for team and work with cross-functional teams to perform End-to-end QA

testing for new feature release

-Keep track of integration testing, end-to-end testing and feature launch timeline of each new

feature

-Work closely with the team to simulate test orders of various scenarios in QA environment, draft

expected results and pass/fail criterions for each testing scenario

-Work with product managers and dev team to build test scenarios based on the product

requirement

-Build scripts or programs for automated testing

-Coordinate communication on the results of testing with cross-functional teams, pin-point issues

in testing and resolve it in a timely manner

-Ensure timely and successfully delivery of new features for the dev team

-Work on troubleshooting and performance tuning

-Assist in data pipeline and ETL process

-Work on SQL query performance tuning

-Handle DataProc Hive job administration
Minimum Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field and 3 years' experience in

quality engineering

- Excellent communication skills, problem solving skills and coordination skills as a teamwork setting

-Fluent in JavaScript/Java/SQL/No-SQL skills, experience with Jira and Confluence highly preferred

-Knowledge of Python preferred

-Knowledge of PySpark preferred

-Familiarity of Integration testing, E2E testing, QA branch, Master branch, QA env, Production Env is

strongly preferred

-Hands-on experience in SQL performance tuning

-Hands-on experience with Google Big Query technology

-Hands-on experience with Hadoop/Hive technology

-Have a strong passion for technology and having the highest quality of outcomes

-Have experience participating and engaging in business conversations to determine requirements

-Ability to work in Linux, Linux administration skills a plus

-Experience with ElasticSearch stack a plus
