The Opportunity
This position is based in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, for our Nutrition Division. Our nutrition business develops science-based nutrition products for people of all ages, from helping babies and children grow, to keeping adult bodies strong and active. As the Quality Assurance Coordinator you will ensure the compliance of the quality and Abbott's policies of all the products distributed by Abbott nutrition from the logistics operator warehouse, as well as the local regulatory requirements of the country commercialized, guaranteeing the correct storage and rework of these according to the good manufacturing and storage practices.
What will you do:
Ensures that all activities are performed in compliance with quality system requirements.
Keep the licenses to the storage and distribution operations requested by the local regulations, acting as responsible person for the sanitary authorities.
Complete the annual recertification in the good storage practices for Abbott Warehouse.
Support the process of the quality assurance related to other departments (Regulatory affairs, supply chain, Marketing and trade)
Approve and monitor the storage areas to the products, repackaging material and promotional material ANI. Ensure the correct storage in the stablished location and identified with the status according to the good storage practices and the local regulations. Review the temperature reports and pest control to assure the compliance. Approve the status changes in the inventory management system form the quarantine/ QA hold to other locations.
Approve and review the products, packaging material and promotional material once arrived at the warehouse.
Generate work instructions to the rework process performed under the Abbott supervision. Coordinate the rework order to supply the supply chain, trade and PEP requests, as well as the current rework matrix. Supervise and keep a stock of the packaging material in the management system and in place. Generate a monthly report of the rework process.
Other’s activities, as required.
Required qualifications:
Pharmaceutical Chemistry degree (graduated). Active status in Pharmaceutical Chemist Local Association, valid license.
Minimum 2 years of experience in similar position.
Language, English skills intermediate written and verbal.
Digital skills: Microsoft office intermediate.
Preferred experience and education
1-year regional experience in Central America and/or Dominican Republic
Education: Quality and manufacturing.
