Job Title: QA Automation Lead (Playwright / Selenium)

We are seeking a skilled QA Automation Lead with extensive experience in test automation and team leadership to join our growing engineering organization. You will play a key role in defining quality strategies, leading automation initiatives, and ensuring the delivery of reliable, scalable software. Your work will directly impact the efficiency and effectiveness of our QA processes and the quality of our products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of QA automation engineers, fostering a culture of quality, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Define and implement QA strategies, processes, and best practices across multiple projects and teams.
- Design, oversee, and maintain automated testing frameworks using tools such as Playwright, Selenium, or similar.
- Ensure automation coverage across UI, API, and integration layers, preventing regressions and ensuring stable releases.
- Collaborate closely with engineering, product, and delivery teams to align on quality objectives and release schedules.
- Drive process improvements for test planning, execution, and reporting, ensuring consistency and efficiency across the QA function.
- Conduct code and test reviews, set quality standards, and promote technical excellence within the QA team.
Must-Have Qualifications:
- 7–8 years of experience in QA automation or software testing, with at least 2–3 years in a leadership role.
- Proven experience leading teams, processes, or QA functions in a complex software environment.
- Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks (Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, or similar).
- Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile/Scrum methodologies, and quality engineering best practices.
- Experience with web and API testing, including designing and executing automated test suites.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to write clear, maintainable, and efficient automated tests and to guide teams in doing the same.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines and DevOps workflows.
- Exposure to performance, security, or cross-platform testing.
- Experience collaborating with U.S.-based or enterprise clients.
- Familiarity with modern tech stacks such as C#, .NET, React, JavaScript, and Azure DevOps.
