Job Description

ECS is seeking a QA Automation Engineer to work remotely.

We are seeking a QA Automation Engineer with experience in end-to-end testing, test automation, performance testing, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to join the Professional Services team. This role will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive testing strategy across functional, integration, automation, performance, security, regression, and user acceptance testing activities.

The ideal candidate will have experience validating complex web applications, APIs, data platforms, and third-party integrations. This individual will work closely with engineering teams, technical leadership, and customer stakeholders to ensure solutions meet functional requirements, performance expectations, security controls, and release readiness criteria.

Candidates should have hands-on experience with automation frameworks and testing tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Python-based testing solutions, Jira, Confluence, and performance testing tools such as Locust.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive test plans covering functional, integration, end-to-end, performance, regression, and user acceptance testing.
  • Define test strategies, test scenarios, acceptance criteria, and release readiness metrics in collaboration with project stakeholders.
  • Design, develop, and execute automated test suites for web applications, APIs, and integrated workflows.
  • Perform end-to-end testing across frontend applications, APIs, Databricks environments, and third-party platform integrations.
  • Validate integrations spanning web applications, backend services, data platforms, and external systems.
  • Execute functional testing across multiple user personas and business workflows.
  • Coordinate and facilitate multiple rounds of User Acceptance Testing (UAT), document findings, validate remediation efforts, and support final release approvals.
  • Design and execute performance and load testing using tools such as Locust, validating system behavior under concurrent user activity and identifying performance bottlenecks.
  • Perform regression testing to ensure software quality and system stability prior to production releases.
  • Validate role-based access controls, security requirements, governance controls, and data access restrictions.
  • Identify, document, classify, and track software defects through resolution.
  • Collaborate with engineers, TPMs, product owners, and customer stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Produce testing reports, quality metrics, defect summaries, and release recommendations.
  • Utilize Jira and Confluence to manage testing activities, document results, and track defects and remediation efforts.
