Job Description

Under the operational responsibility of the QA Manager, you are responsible to develop and perform methods and procedures for automated and manual product testing that span end to end business processes, in the respect of existing policies and procedures that produce high-quality software products and services. Right from preparing and implementing QA plans that include project documentation reviews, functional and performance testing you take ownership of identifying and assist with resolving product defects until it is handed over to the end users.

You are fully integrated within the Software Engineering Chapter, you contribute to develop the community, define and share guidelines, best practices, leverage experience with others and perform technological watch on your domain highlighting innovation. Automated tests are well integrated and compliant with SCOR CICD deployment chain always applying SCOR standard development guidelines and automated testing framework

You will join the Tech & Data department (more than 200 employees across the globe) and will be able to grow and evolve in a global and very dynamic structure providing products, services, and support to all SCOR Group worldwide.

Your mission and tasks will be:

On software testing

  • Develop and carry out methods and procedures for automated and manual product testing to meet project schedules as required
  • Analyze test results and collaborate with the assigned and extended squad, crews to identify bugs and potential performance issues for resolution utilizing agile methodology
  • Work with developers, architects and automation engineers to design frameworks and automated testing solutions
  • Identify individual tasks, mentor and coach team members on automation procedures and techniques, execute initiatives that improve the QA strategies
  • Prepare and implement QA plans in support of the existing and evolving life admin eco systems
  • Create and perform performance tests that execute system load that is identical to the processing volume of the current and future life admin eco system
  • Researching test tools, methodologies, and trends and upgrading existing practices and processes
  • Support various internal and external audit requirements as needed
  • Must be comfortable working in a global team environment and support users

On innovation :

  • Stay up-to-date with emerging trends, technologies, and software testing best practices.
  • Provide recommendations for continuous improvement
  • Work alongside other engineers on the team to elevate technology and consistently apply best practices

Required experience & competencies

  • 5+ years of hands on experience in evaluating, designing and building test automation frameworks and tools (Selenium, Test NG, TOSCA, Cucumber etc)
  • Experience/ Knowledge of the Reinsurance business and/or the Insurance / financial services industry is a plus

Hard skills

  • Strong experience creating test scenarios, test plans, test cases and test scripts across functional, integrating, performance and regression testing
  • Must be able to write UI tests as well as backend tests (API, Databases, FileSystem etc) · Strong experience in designing, developing, and executing SQL server database SQL scripts
  • Strong experience with Microsoft technologies and tools including .NET, C#, SSIS,SSAS, SQL Server, Visual Studio, Azure Cloud, REST,SOAP,Git and Microservices
  • Strong experience of Business & IT agile ways of working, experience with Scrum/Agile development methodologies
  • Preferred Skills:
  • Experience in automation, DevOps, CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps or Jenkins)
  • Programming experience in Microsoft technology stack (C#, .NET)
  • Strong understanding of object oriented programming (OOP) concepts
  • Experience with performance testing tool scripting/test execution (LoadRunner, HP test automation, JMeter, Postman etc.)
  • Experience with development processes like TTD (Test driven development) and BDD (Behavior-Driven-Development)

· Knowledge of software security principles and practices

  • Ability to work in a team and/or be an effective individual contributor
  • Used to working in a global cross-cultural environment · Fluent English skills (oral & written)

Required Education

BS in Computer Science or related degree or equivalent work experience required
