The Software Quality Assurance team at Streamline Vacation Rentals is looking to hire a Software Quality Assurance Engineer with automation experience. As an engineer on the QA team, you will be expected to help develop and maintain both automated and manual tests. Follow the best quality practices and processes while participating in high release standards.

The ideal candidate will have some familiarity with automated software testing (SAAS, API, and Mobile platforms) and Quality Assurance. Have automation experience with Cypress.io or Mocha in Node.js. Understand HTML, CSS, and jQuery in addition to being fluent in JavaScript.

The QA engineer should understand the concepts needed to automate state of the art SAAS frontend pages and be comfortable working through the challenges of automating APIs and legacy web pages. You should be willing and excited to contribute to discussions while taking the initiative to solve problems and get the job done while taking on new challenges. You should thrive in team-oriented and fast-paced environments where each team-member is vital to the overall success of the product.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties:

• Strong problem solving and trouble shooting skills with the ability to come up with simple solutions to complex problems.

• Participate in developing, troubleshooting, and maintaining automation code.
• Follow coding conventions, policies and procedures provided.

Qualifications

Qualifications and Required Skills:

• 4+ years of experience writing, maintaining, and executing manual and automated test plans and test cases.
• 2+ Experience architecting and developing automated software suites
  • 2+ years of experience writing and debugging automated tests in JavaScript specifically.
  • 1-2 years of experience using Cypress or Mocha in Node.js as the primary testing framework.
• Solid experience with REST services, OS scripting (PowerShell or Bash), jQuery, HTML/CSS, AJAX, Windows, Linux, Data Design/Modeling, T-SQL.
• Experience working in a Scrum Agile Environment
• Must be able to work in a diverse team environment.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, similar technical field of study or equivalent practical experience.

• We have an in-office work style, with most team members working in the office from Monday to Thursday and remotely on Friday
