Project

Focused on quality and test automation within a modern ecosystem based on Java (Spring Boot) microservices, an Angular frontend, and a distributed architecture with strong API dependency.

Role

• Perform manual and automated testing, ensuring full coverage across APIs and UI
• Design and implement: API test automation (priority focus, REST-based services) and Web/UI automation for Angular applications
• Validate microservices behaviour, integrations, and end-to-end flows
• Analyze existing frameworks (Serenity, Playwright, Selenium)
• Assess technical fit with the project (Java + Angular + APIs)
• Evaluate maintainability, scalability, and team usability
• Decide between reuse, adaptation, or new framework creation
• Define and implement a robust automation framework, ensuring:
• Scalability and modularity
• Easy maintenance and readability
• Alignment with best practices (e.g., Page Object Model, API abstraction layers)
• Drive QA strategy and best practices, including Test pyramid definition (unit, API, UI balance), Shift-left approach (early testing in lifecycle) and Integration with CI/CD pipelines
• Conduct Proof of Concepts (POCs) to compare tools and frameworks before decisions
• Define and track quality metrics and automation ROI
• Provide technical leadership, supporting team decisions and mentoring others
• Contribute to stakeholder communication, explaining QA decisions and trade-offs

We are looking for

• Strong hands-on experience in manual testing and test automation
• Proven experience in API testing (REST services) as a core skill
• Solid experience in web/UI testing for modern frontend applications
• Practical experience with Playwright, Selenium, and/or Serenity (or similar frameworks like TestNG or JUnit)
• Experience working with Java-based systems and microservices architectures
• Good understanding of API validation including requests, responses, status codes, and contracts
• Experience testing Angular-based applications or similar frontend frameworks
• Proven ability to design and build automation frameworks from scratch
• Experience evaluating and selecting testing tools based on project needs and constraints
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integration of automated tests
• Experience working in Agile environments, preferably using Kanban
• Strong ability to make technical decisions focused on scalability and maintainability
• Clear communication skills with both technical teams and business stakeholders
