We are developing Cities: Skylines II, an ambitious simulation game with unprecedented scale and detail. We are looking for a QA Analyst to help us track bugs, manage our external testing partners, and keep our builds stable. Your main focus will be finding issues before they reach players and making sure the game is polished and fun to play.
What you will be doing:
Test new features to find bugs, edge cases, and areas that need polish.
Write clear, detailed bug reports so the development team knows exactly what went wrong and how to recreate it.
Verify bug fixes and test updated builds to ensure resolved issues don't slip back into the game.
Playtest the game regularly to provide feedback from a player’s perspective on balance, usability, and the overall fun factor.
Act as a point of contact for our external testing partners, guiding their daily focus and answering their questions.
Keep the team updated on the game's current stability and highlight any critical risks as soon as they arise.
The skills you need to have:
Hands-on QA experience within a game development studio, or other relevant experience.
A sharp eye for detail and a natural curiosity for figuring out how to break game features.
Experience using bug-tracking software (like Jira) to log, track, and organize issues.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex bugs clearly to both technical and non-technical team members and external partners.
How to stand out from the crowd:
A deep passion for city builders, management, or strategy games, with the gameplay hours to prove it.
Experience with console testing, including the console certification process.
Experience with test automation and CI/CD pipelines, especially Jenkins.
Data analysis skills and the ability to dig into telemetry to track down technical issues or player trends.
