Job Description

Technical Lead (CDR/Open Banking Platform)

Experience: 8+ Years

We are seeking an experienced Technical Lead to lead the design and development of a cloud-native Consumer Data Right (CDR) and Open Banking Data Adapter Platform. The role will be responsible for technical leadership of Python-based microservices, API integrations, cloud-native deployments and engineering governance across Azure and AWS environments.

The Technical Lead will collaborate closely with Solution Architects, Developers, DevOps, QA teams and business stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable and compliant Open Banking solutions.

Responsibilities

Technical Leadership

  • Lead technical design and development activities for CDR/Open Banking solutions.
  • Translate architecture designs into implementable technical solutions.
  • Mentor developers and enforce coding standards and engineering best practices.
  • Conduct design reviews, code reviews and technical governance sessions.
  • Drive technical risk identification and mitigation.

Application Development

  • Lead development of Python-based microservices using FastAPI or Flask.
  • Ensure implementation of reusable and scalable services.
  • Guide canonical data model implementation and transformation framework development.
  • Review and optimize application performance, scalability and reliability.

API & Integration

  • Design and govern RESTful APIs.
  • Lead integration with:
    • Core Banking
    • Card Platform
    • Biza/Open Banking Platform
    • OAuth2/OIDC Identity Providers
  • Ensure API security, throttling, monitoring and observability practices.

Cloud & DevOps

  • Support deployments on Azure and AWS.
  • Work with Kubernetes, Docker, AKS/EKS environments.
  • Collaborate with DevOps teams on CI/CD pipeline implementation.
  • Support Infrastructure as Code initiatives using Terraform.

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Work with Solution Architects, Business Analysts, QA and Product Owners.
  • Support effort estimation and release planning.
  • Communicate technical decisions and implementation status to stakeholders.

Essential skills

  • Strong Python development experience (FastAPI, Flask)
  • Microservices architecture
  • REST API design and development
  • OAuth2, OIDC, JWT, API Security
  • Docker and Kubernetes
  • Azure and/or AWS Cloud
  • CI/CD pipelines
  • Git, Jira, Confluence

Desired skills

  • Open Banking / CDR domain knowledge
  • Banking or Financial Services experience
  • Redis, RabbitMQ
  • ELK/Grafana monitoring stack
