Playtech's GenBet unit is looking for a proactive, methodical Software Developer - Algos with excellent communication and problem solving skills to join our team.

Your influential mission. You will...

• Develop our Sportsbook product and applications
• Implement new features and maintaining production code
• Design and innovative solutions to complex problems
• Contribute to meaningful peer code reviews
• Implement unit tests
• Work in an agile development process

Qualifications

Components for success. You have...

• 2+ years professional experience using any modern programming language (preferably Python).
• Linux / Unix experience.
• Experience of Python.
• Experience of developing software in a quantitative environment.
• Solid experience with relational databases.
• An interest in Open Source technologies.
• Experience using Microservices, RESTful APIs, message brokers (e.g. RabbitMQ).

You'll get extra points for...

• Experience coding in a statically typed language.
• Experience writing high-performance CPU bound software.
• NumPy, Cython, C.
• Experience of Docker, Kubernetes.
• Previous commercial experience in Gambling or Sports Betting sector.
• An outside interest in programming reflected by a blog / portfolio, GitHub, Bit Bucket profile or personal website.
