JOB DESCRIPTION Python & PowerShell Automation Expert Cordance RFP | Cloud NOC | Automation, Integration & Auto-Remediation ROLE PURPOSE ENGAGEMENT CONTEXT Design and maintain operational automation connecting monitoring signals to ITSM workflows and approved remediation across AWS and Azure, reducing manual effort and accelerating recovery. . Key Responsibilities · Develop Python/PowerShell automation for cloud operations, diagnostics and remediation. · Integrate Datadog, CloudWatch, Azure Monitor and ITSM through APIs/webhooks. · Automate alert enrichment, ticket creation/update, health checks and approved remediation. · Build reusable AWS/Azure operational scripts and modules. · Implement validation, logging, retry, error handling and rollback controls. · Develop automation runbooks with prerequisites, risks and rollback procedures. · Identify high-volume manual NOC activities suitable for automation. · Implement approval gates and guardrails for high-risk actions. · Maintain version-controlled automation assets and secure coding practices. · Test automation in controlled environments before production. · Track automation success and manual effort avoided. Must-Have Technical & Operational Skills · 5+ years scripting/automation with strong Python and PowerShell. · AWS/Azure automation using SDKs, CLI and APIs. · REST API, JSON, webhook and authentication concepts. · Monitoring/observability-to-ITSM integration. · CloudWatch and Azure Monitor automation. · Cloud operations understanding. · Production-quality coding with logging, security and rollback. · Git/version control and controlled releases. · ITIL change controls and production automation governance. Nice-to-Have Skills · Datadog API/workflows. · Jira Service Management or ServiceNow APIs. · Terraform, GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps. · AWS Lambda, Azure Functions or Logic Apps. · EventBridge/Event Grid and event-driven architecture. · AIOps, LLM/RAG or agentic automation. · Human-approved auto-remediation guardrails. Working Model · Operate within defined governance, security, access-control, change and escalation procedures. · Maintain accurate operational documentation, handover records and knowledge assets.
