We are looking for an experienced Python Developer with 5–8 years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend applications and APIs. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Python, FastAPI, and Kubernetes, along with a solid understanding of modern backend engineering practices, microservices, containerization, and cloud-native application development.

You will be responsible for building reliable and high-performance backend services, developing RESTful APIs, integrating third-party systems, and contributing to the architecture and deployment of scalable applications. The role requires strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to work closely with engineering, product, QA, and DevOps teams.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable backend applications using Python.
• Build high-performance, secure, and maintainable REST APIs using FastAPI.
• Develop and maintain microservices and backend components supporting business-critical applications.
• Design efficient application architecture, data flows, and API integrations.
• Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot containerized applications using Kubernetes.
• Work with Docker and Kubernetes-based environments to ensure reliable application deployment and scalability.
• Optimize backend services for performance, reliability, availability, and maintainability.
• Integrate external APIs, databases, messaging systems, and other third-party services.
• Implement appropriate logging, monitoring, error handling, and security practices.
• Collaborate with frontend developers, QA engineers, DevOps teams, product managers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, architecture decisions, and engineering best practices.
• Identify and resolve production issues and contribute to continuous improvement of backend systems.
• Write clean, modular, reusable, and well-documented code.

Must-Have Skills

Python

• Strong hands-on experience with Python development and object-oriented programming.
• Excellent understanding of Python frameworks, libraries, data structures, exception handling, and asynchronous programming.
• Experience building scalable and production-grade backend applications.

FastAPI

• Strong experience developing RESTful APIs using FastAPI.
• Understanding of API design, request validation, authentication, authorization, dependency injection, and asynchronous APIs.
• Experience integrating FastAPI services with databases and external systems.

Kubernetes

• Strong practical experience with Kubernetes for deploying and managing backend applications.
• Understanding of Pods, Deployments, Services, ConfigMaps, Secrets, namespaces, scaling, and troubleshooting.
• Experience working with containerized applications and cloud-native environments.

Good-to-Have Skills

• Experience with pytest for unit testing, integration testing, mocking, and test automation.
• Hands-on experience with Postman for API testing, validation, debugging, and documentation.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Git, and cloud platforms.
• Understanding of microservices architecture, observability, logging, and monitoring tools.
• Experience working with relational or NoSQL databases.
