Job Description


We are looking for a Python Developer to join a large-scale public sector modernization initiative focused on upgrading the national statistics platform. The project aims to improve data collection, publication, visualization, and metadata management, as well as integrate with other state information systems and deliver advanced analytics solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain backend services using Python (3.x)
  • Build APIs and templates using Flask and Jinja2
  • Work with PostgreSQL, PostGIS, and search systems such as Solr or OpenSearch
  • Create microservices and API specifications using OpenAPI 3.0 and FastAPI
  • Implement and maintain integrations and data processes using AWS S3
  • Support CI/CD pipelines and container-based deployments using Git, GitHub, GitHub Actions, Docker, Docker Compose, Nginx, and uWSGI
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable and efficient solutions

Must-Have Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience developing backend systems with Python
  • Hands-on experience with Flask, Jinja2, PostgreSQL, PostGIS, Solr/OpenSearch, FastAPI, OpenAPI 3.0
  • Experience working with AWS S3
  • Strong skills in Git, GitHub, CI/CD, Docker, and service deployment
  • Fluent Lithuanian

Nice to Have:

  • Experience working in public sector or large-scale data platforms
  • Familiarity with analytics or data visualization solutions

We offer:

  • Salary is 4500-5500 EUR GROSS/month
