Job Description

At SEK Catalunya International School, we are looking for a PYP Teacher to join our Primary team in a permanent position starting in August 2026.

Mission

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement teaching plans for the transdisciplinary and disciplinary units.

• Attend department meetings and participate in collaborative planning sessions.

• Take part in standardizing assessment tasks.

• Contribute to curriculum research and improvement.

• Stay updated on the PYP Scope and Sequence.

• Communicate students' progress to parents.

• Attend school activities such as festivals and Open Days.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Primary Education or equivalent teaching qualification.

• Previous teaching experience, preferably within the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP).

• Native English speaker or native speaker level.

• Spanish and/or Catalan will be valued.

• Microsoft Office user.

• Experience with educational platforms to enhance classroom dynamics and support collaboration with the teaching team will be appreciated.

What We Offer

• Permanent position.

• Start date: 27 August 2026

• Working schedule:

  • Monday to Thursday: 9:30 a.m. – 5:10 p.m.

  • Friday: 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

• Salary in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement.
