We are seeking a passionate and dedicated PYP Hindi Teacher to join our vibrant learning community. The ideal candidate will bring strong subject expertise in Hindi along with a deep understanding of inquiry-based learning as practiced in the Primary Years Programme (PYP). You will play a key role in nurturing students’ language skills, cultural awareness, and love for Hindi through engaging and meaningful learning experiences.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Hindi lessons aligned with the PYP framework, focusing on language acquisition, literacy development, and conceptual understanding.
- Create a stimulating classroom environment that encourages curiosity, creativity, and student agency.
- Use a variety of teaching strategies, including storytelling, role play, collaborative activities, and project-based learning, to make Hindi learning interactive and enjoyable.
- Integrate Hindi instruction with transdisciplinary themes to support holistic learning.
- Assess and monitor student progress using both formative and summative assessment tools, providing constructive feedback to support growth.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs, abilities, and language proficiency levels of students.
- Foster an appreciation for Indian culture, literature, and traditions through the Hindi curriculum.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and communicate effectively with parents and stakeholders regarding student development.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers, coordinators, and leadership to enhance curriculum planning and school initiatives.
- Participate in school events, professional development programs, and PYP-related training sessions.
Key Skills & Competencies:
- Strong command over the Hindi language, including grammar, vocabulary, reading, writing, and speaking skills.
- Sound understanding of PYP philosophy, inquiry-based learning, and concept-driven curriculum design.
- Ability to create engaging lesson plans that promote critical thinking and communication skills.
- Excellent classroom management and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using technology to enhance teaching and learning experiences.
- Strong communication skills in both Hindi and English.
- Ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Adaptability, creativity, and a student-centered approach to teaching.
- Experience in handling multi-level classrooms and diverse learning styles is an advantage.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Hindi or a related field.
- B.Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification is mandatory.
- IB PYP training or certification is preferred (not mandatory but highly desirable).
