Job Description

Valid Ohio driver’s license and proof of auto insurance is required by hospital policy. Must pass a motor vehicle background inspection, insurance eligibility, driving qualifications and training set forth by Nationwide Children’s Hospital and must maintain qualification of insurance guidelines. Coordinates clinical psychology services, including patient care, treatment plans, and staff training, to ensure high-quality care and compliance with regulations.

Essential Functions:

  • Coordinates and oversees the clinical psychology program, ensuring that all aspects of the program are in compliance with the relevant regulations and standards.
  • Develops and implements policies and procedures related to the clinical psychology program, ensuring that they are consistent with the goals and objectives of the organization.
  • Provides supervision and guidance to clinical psychology staff, ensuring that they are providing high-quality care to patients and clients.
  • Collaborates with other healthcare professionals to ensure that patients receive comprehensive care that addresses their physical, emotional, and psychological needs.
  • Conducts assessments and evaluations of patients to determine their psychological needs and develop treatment plans that are tailored to their individual needs.
  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date records of patient care, ensuring that all documentation is in compliance with relevant regulations and standards.


Education Requirement:

  • Doctoral degree in Psychology from an accredited school, required.
  • Completion of pre-professional internship in health service internship and post-doctoral training, or equivalent experience, required.


Licensure Requirement:

  • Psychology license in the State of Ohio, or eligibility, required.
  • Valid Ohio driver’s license and proof of auto insurance as required by hospital policy and position-specific requirements. Must pass motor vehicle background inspection, insurance eligibility, driving qualifications, and training set forth by Nationwide Children’s Hospital and maintain qualification of insurance guidelines.


Skills:

Interpersonal skills sufficient to provide effective leadership for professional staff, to maintain a variety of internal and external contacts, and to interact effectively with patients, families, physicians, and other Nationwide Children's Hospital personnel.


Experience:

  • Meets requirements for Medical Staff at Nationwide Children's Hospital.
  • Experience in health service psychology, or equivalent education, required
