The Opportunity
We're looking for Summer Interns in Ōtautahi/Christchurch commencing in November 2026.
Our PwC Private team works alongside a diverse range of clients, from family-owned businesses and fast-growing startups to well-known New Zealand brands, helping them solve challenges, unlock opportunities and achieve long-term success.
As a Summer Intern, you'll work alongside experienced business advisers, building trusted relationships with clients while gaining exposure to a broad range of compliance and advisory services.
From financial analysis, business performance improvement and growth initiatives, to accounting and tax compliance, finance technology and business transactions, you'll help solve real business challenges and, contribute to meaningful client outcomes. You'll also learn how we use data, automation and AI-enabled tools to work at the cutting edge of technology, generate insights and help clients make better decisions. Along the way, you’ll develop the commercial judgement, digital capability and relationship-building skills that will set you up for a successful career.
No two days are the same. You'll build meaningful relationships, tackle complex business challenges and gain exposure to a wide variety of industries, giving you a strong foundation for your career. What you'll bring
Bachelor of Commerce or Bachelor of Business, majoring in Accounting (CA pathway preferred).
Be in your final year of study or have recently graduated.
Intention to complete the Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CA ANZ) qualification.
Strong academic performance.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
A proactive attitude, curiosity and willingness to learn.
The ability to build strong relationships and work collaboratively with clients and colleagues.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
Demonstrated leadership through work, sport, volunteering or extracurricular activities.
