Design Operations Manager contributes to Ion Solar by creating a high-quality, installable product for our customers and installation professionals. We excel in upscaling PV Design subject matter expertise for system production, electrical design, and structural design, and skill set for individual and team development. Duties/Responsibilities:
Manage our PV Design Operation to meet all dept. KPIs.
Upskill Team leads with leadership training and improving our workforce.
Improve dept. processes for better deliverables, quicker turn times, better communication, ownership, and quality control.
Manage Capacity / Demand and Staffing to make sure service levels are world-class.
Work closely with structural engineers and master electricians for accurate and cost-efficient design decisions.
Coordinate and problem-solve with internal departments and field operations to resolve ongoing and new issues, prioritize assignments, handle project escalations, and maintain project timeline expectations.
Work closely with the director and executive management to align on company strategy, goals, and needs.
Understandsand strives to meet or exceed set forth metrics while providing a consistent and positive customer experience.
Prepare work schedules to ensure sufficient coverage.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
2 4 years of business operations management experience required in a related or relevant role with competitive results.
2 Years Minimum PV Design Experience; OR 4-year Engineering type degree; OR Certificate from a Technical College; OR field experience in relevant trade is preferred but not required.
NABCEP PV Installation Professional Certification Preferred.
Efficient with Energy Storage System (battery) design, Ground Mount Design, and/or another custom electrical line diagram design preferred but not required.
Efficient with construction-related codes and requirements. (ie. NEC, IRC, IBC, etc.) preferred.
Working Conditions:
Fast-paced, open floor office environment with significant computer and phone usage. Utilization of complex systems. Speed and accuracy are essential to the successful completion of tasks.
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Regular requirement to talk, or hear; frequent requirement to stand, walk, reach, bend or lift up to 20 pounds. The noise level in the work environment is typical of that of an office. May encounter interruptions throughout the work day.
