As Energy Bay Developments PV Engineer you will driving the end-to-end solution design and operational execution of solar and energy storage initiatives. This role supports the Senior Engineer in identifying strategic opportunities and engineering solutions that enhance project delivery and operational efficiency. By aligning technical execution with Energy Bay’s performance objectives, the role contributes to consistently exceeding contractual and internal KPIs, ensuring high-impact outcomes across all project phases.

As a PV Engineer with Energy Bay Developments you will:

• Lead design and engineering of Solar PV, BESS, and Embedded Network projects from concept to completion.
• Conduct feasibility studies and site assessments to evaluate project viability.
• Prepare technical specifications, engineering drawings, and documentation.
• Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and stakeholders for seamless delivery.
• Stay current with industry trends, regulations, and best practices.
• Analyse and optimise system performance for maximum efficiency.
• Perform inspections and quality control to ensure compliance and standards.
• Implement innovative solutions to enhance asset reliability and performance.
• Manage customer relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
• Support strategic growth initiatives and business development.
• Build and maintain partnerships with key technology providers and OEMs.
• Assist Senior Engineer in identifying opportunities to improve delivery and exceed KPIs.
• Organize PV work-packs to maintain schedules and deliverables.
• Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Identify & minimize technical risks.

You will be successful in the role if you:

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or similar relevant degree.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in PV Engineering Solutions.
• Preferred SAA accreditation (GCPV or GCBS).
• Proven track record in delivering innovative and efficient solar PV and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) designs, backed by over three years of hands-on engineering experience.
• Deep expertise in system architecture, including precise system sizing, string configuration, technology selection, and seamless energy storage integration to optimize performance and reliability.
• Strong command of electrical codes, standards, and regulatory frameworks governing solar PV and BESS installations, ensuring compliance and safety across all project phases.
• Adhere to our Zero Harm values to protect yourself, team members, customers and the environment.
• Understanding of or exposure to renewable energy technology.
• Strong command of AutoCAD and Microsoft Suite for technical drawing and project modeling.
• Strong communication skills and a high standard of written communication.
