The Opportunity

BlueScope Building Components is looking for an experienced Purlin Mill Operator to join the Fielders and Lysaght operations team based in Novar Gardens SA. Manufacturing steel building products that have helped shape the nation: from iconic corrugated roofing over Australian homes, to large commercial and industrial projects.

The operations team work a 24hr 5 day Monday to Friday roster. Operating roll forming machinery to create quality Australian made building solutions for our customers. Our commitment is to safety and quality for our customers and our team members. You will receive ongoing training and support to learn all aspects of our Team Member role allowing for future career development opportunities.

You will receive ongoing training and development, giving you the opportunity to progress. We offer competitive renumeration and benefits. In addition, you will be eligible to receive performance bonuses paid quarterly.

What will you do?

With a strong focus on teamwork, you’ll support the dayshift supervisor and be responsible for

  • Operating Purlin Mill equipment
  • servicing customers that attend site whilst ensuring customer waiting time is kept to a minimum;

  • has demonstrated experience operating Purlin Mill machinery
  • have good communication skills
  • have a positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills
  • the ability to drive a forklift and a current forklift license is desirable but not required
