Rotating 12 hour shifts (Day M-Thu 0600-1800 / Night M-Wed 1800-0600)

The Purification Coordinator performs complex tasks within a GMP environment and ensures employees perform to established standards in regards to cleaning and maintaining the workplace, cleaning, assembling and disassembling operating equipment per applicable procedures, assisting with process control manipulations and maintaining records/logs in accordance with current standard procedures.

Primary Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Performs all duties described at the Purification Sr. Technician level.
  • Informs the Supervisor of process status and difficulties and assists in updating/maintaining Process Procedures.
  • Assists Supervisor in facility maintenance by informing the appropriate maintenance personnel of equipment failure and follows up on maintenance requests.
  • Acts on behalf of the Supervisor when he/she is absent.
  • Works with the Supervisor to maintain production yields.
  • Participates in the scheduling of product isolation to ensure maximum facility utilization.
  • Actively participates in the production process.
  • Works with assigned team to organize production events to ensure the safe and expedient completion of the production process.
  • Works with the Department Manager and Supervisors to implement and enforce Department and Company policies.
  • Integrates new employees and ensures process training for new employees is completed as required.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Isolate target proteins from intermediates and process to a sterile bulk and deliver for filling.
  • Generate work requests within the Maximo system and perform necessary SAP transactions.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Must have demonstrated exceptional technical know-how, ability to troubleshoot, ability to train others and proven leadership skills including communication (written and oral), assertiveness, and interpersonal skills and strong math aptitude.
  • Training in multimedia first aid or CPR also preferred..

Education:

  • See experience.

Experience:

  • Present or past production work experience in Purification Department.
  • Employee must meet all requirements for the Purification Technician I level position and must have received a minimum of a meets expectations overall rating on his/her most recent performance review.

*Depending on the area of assignment, directly related experience or a combination of directly related education and experience and/or competencies may be considered in place of the stated requirements. Example: If a job level requires a Bachelor’s degree plus 4 years of experience, an equivalency could include 8 years of experience, an Associate’s degree with 6 years of experience, or a Master’s degree with 2 years of experience.

Occupational Demands:

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, as well as stand/walk continuously during the shift, and work rotating shifts.
  • Required vaccination for hepatitis B due to exposure to plasma fractions.
