What's the VIE Forvia Program all about?
The VIE Program of Forvia is an international young graduate program, which enables young graduates native from the European Economic Area (EU + Norway, Liechtenstein and Iceland) aged between 18 and 28 to work for one of our subsidiary around the world!

What will be your main missions?
Our Faurecia Seatings Division is looking for a VIE Purchasing to be based at its plant at São João da Madeira, PORTUGAL.

The VIE Purchasing is responsible for improving the supplier performance in production (quality, cost, delivery) in line with purchasing strategy.

• Contribute to the identification and implementation of productivity actions (product/ process) for cost reduction, in close coordination with Commodity team
• Conduct productivity workshops at supplier facilities (Lean, Octoplus)
• Monitor productivity performance for supplier perimeter through cross-functional teamwork in the plants (i.e. productivity committees).
• For most critical topics, support the Supply Chain team to improve supplier deviation in Miss deliveries Per Million (MPM)
• Lead negotiation for Engineering Change Requests, and product productivity, in close relationship with commodities
• Support plants to troubleshoot operational issues.

The mission will last 12 months. It could be renewed for another 12 months.

Your profile and competencies to succeed

What you need to join us?

• English language is mandatory as you will be speaking with people from all over the world.
• Master’s degree/Engineering diploma in purchasing
• Minimum 1 year purchasing experience. (Automotive preferred / capital preferred)
