Valeo is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Purchasing Trainee to join our dynamic team. This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in procurement within a global automotive supplier. The trainee will support the purchasing department in daily operations, learn purchasing processes, and contribute to achieving cost-effective solutions.

Job Responsibilities:**

* Assist in the preparation and issuance of purchase orders for goods and services.
* Support the purchasing team in supplier communication, including requests for quotations (RFQs) and follow-up on deliveries.
* Maintain and update purchasing records, supplier databases, and relevant documentation.
* Participate in market research to identify potential new suppliers and assess their capabilities.
* Assist with data analysis related to purchasing activities, such as spend analysis and supplier performance.
* Collaborate with internal departments (e.g., engineering, production, logistics) to understand material requirements.
* Learn and apply company purchasing policies, procedures, and ethical guidelines.
* Contribute to cost reduction initiatives and process improvement projects within the purchasing function.
* Perform other administrative tasks as assigned by the purchasing team.

Job Qualifications:**

* Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment.
* Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and take initiative.
* Fluency in Spanish and English is highly desirable.
* Prior internship or relevant experience in purchasing or supply chain is a plus, but not required.
