About the Team

The Regional Purchasing North America team within ZF Aftermarket focuses on managing supplier relationships and optimizing sourcing strategies to ensure cost efficiency and supply continuity. The department collaborates cross-functionally with operations, finance, and logistics to respond to market dynamics such as tariffs and trade regulations. This team plays a key role in analyzing cost structures and implementing mitigation strategies across the supply base. It is a dynamic and analytical environment that supports strategic decision-making within the organization.

What you can look forward to as Purchasing Tariff Intern:

• Support quantitative assessment of import tariffs and their impact on the business
• Assist in scenario modeling to evaluate cost mitigation strategies
• Participate in supply base localization initiatives and sourcing analysis
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as purchasing, supply chain, and finance
• Contribute to the development and tracking of tariff mitigation actions and results
• Gain hands-on experience through training on tariffs and their impact on ZF operations
• Prepare reports and recommendations for decision-making processes
• Work on a strategic project focused on cost mitigation in North America

Your Profile as Purchasing Tariff Intern:

• Currently in the last semesters of a degree in Purchasing, Supply Chain Management, Economics, Accounting, or Industrial Engineering
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Proactive attitude and ability to handle challenges independently
• Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and Microsoft O365 tools
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
• Quick learner with a self-directed and results-oriented mindset
• Interest in understanding how processes and systems work
• Fluent in English (written and spoken)
