Anton Paar TorqueTec was founded in 1923 in Duisburg under the name Brabender and is a globally leading manufacturer of measurement and process engineering solutions for quality testing of various raw materials, as well as for the development and optimization of products, formulations, methods and processes. As a renowned provider of devices and equipment for testing different material properties, the company stands for high-quality and durable measurement and process engineering. The instruments are used in quality assurance—from laboratory equipment through to small-series production—as well as in research and development.

Operational purchasing ensures that the materials and components required are ordered on time and delivered reliably. By processing the order processes in a structured manner, you make an important contribution to the supply of materials for our production. To expand the team, an operational buyer (f/m/x) is being sought at the Duisburg site.

• Creating and processing orders in SAP
• Tracking orders and monitoring delivery dates
• Obtaining and checking order confirmations
• Communication with suppliers in the event of delivery delays or quantity deviations
• Maintaining material and supplier master data
• Obtaining and comparing offers according to specifications
• Supporting operational procurement of mechanical components and manufacturing parts
• Close coordination with production, design, logistics and quality assurance

Qualifications

• Completed commercial vocational training (e.g., industrial clerk (m/f/d)) or comparable qualification
• First professional experience in operational purchasing or in a comparable commercial activity, ideally in a manufacturing company
• Secure handling of ERP systems (SAP knowledge is an advantage) and MS Office
• Structured, careful and reliable working style as well as enjoyment of process-oriented tasks
• Technical understanding, teamwork skills, and open and service-oriented communication with suppliers and internal specialist departments
• Very good German skills as well as basic English skills for written communication and working with systems
