About the Role

We are seeking an energetic, motivated Purchasing Specialist to support and optimize procurement operations, vendor relationships, and inventory management to ensure timely, cost-effective acquisition of equipment and supplies. This role is responsible for sourcing and procuring portable cooling equipment, HVAC components, and related supplies to support rental operations and customer demand. This role ensures timely availability of equipment, cost efficiency, and strong vendor partnerships in a fast-paced, service-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Source and purchase portable air conditioners, chillers, heaters, fans, and HVAC components
• Negotiate pricing, contracts, and delivery terms with equipment manufacturers and suppliers
• Manage inventory levels across warehouses to ensure equipment availability for rentals and sales
• Issue and track purchase orders to ensure on-time delivery of equipment and parts
• Coordinate with operations and logistics teams to forecast demand based on seasonal trends (e.g., peak summer cooling needs)
• Work with accounts payable to Identify and onboard new vendors for HVAC equipment, parts, and maintenance supplies
• Monitor supplier performance, including quality, pricing, and delivery reliability
• Resolve issues related to damaged equipment, delayed shipments, or incorrect orders
• Maintain accurate purchasing records and inventory data in ERP systems
• Analyze market trends and recommend cost-saving initiatives
  

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• 2+ years of experience working with data management systems.
• 1+ years of experience in sales process and invoicing
• 1+ years of experience in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel

Preferred Qualifications

• Salesforce, M3 Experience
• 3+ years of CRM Experience
• Previous experience in the rental, HVAC, or similar industries
• Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills
