Job Description

Your role:

• To be responsible for sourcing activity including the preparation of RFQ/ RFP documents, evaluation of offer/ proposals, vendor selection and management, pricing and contract negotiation, etc.
• To ensure sources of supply are established by competitive means as appropriate.
• To negotiate with suppliers for better terms and conditions in the supply of goods and services.
• To analyze and prepare commercial evaluation offers.
• To ensure purchase orders are placed to approved suppliers or appropriate sources.
• To communicate and work closely with relevant business units to understand their requirements.
• To expedite delivery of goods and deal with delivery/ quality discrepancies.
• Candidates with more experience might be considered for the post of Senior Purchasing Officer.

Immediate availability is preferred

To succeed in this role:

• Holder of an Associate Degree or a Degree holder in IT, Procurement and Supply Chain, or other relevant discipline.
• Minimum 2 years’ purchasing experience in a sizable organization.
• It is advantageous to have experience in dealing with key stakeholders from the IT and engineering departments.
• Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua).
• Strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficiency in PC applications, including MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Self‑motivated and able to meet tight deadlines.
