Job Description

The opportunity

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Purchasing Officer to join our Energy & Utilities business, supporting a busy procurement function across construction, maintenance, and infrastructure projects.

Reporting to the Procurement Manager this role plays a critical part in ensuring the smooth and compliant delivery of procurement operations by providing transactional and systems support to Buyers across multiple projects and operational programs.

Working within a collaborative procurement and supply chain team, you will be responsible for raising and managing purchase orders, supporting vendor onboarding, maintaining procurement records and reports, and ensuring procurement activity is accurately transacted within JD Edwards and InEight systems.

What we’re looking for

  • Experience in purchasing, procurement, administration, or finance within construction, utilities, infrastructure, oil & gas, or similar industries.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage high-volume transactional activities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good understanding of procure-to-pay processes and ERP systems such as JD Edwards or similar platforms.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to build collaborative working relationships.
  • A proactive, organised, and solutions-focused approach with the ability to manage competing priorities
