Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement strategies for supply chain management, vendor management, and cost optimization.
  • Operational Oversight: Manage supply chain operations, IT Asset management practices, while ensuring audit readiness.
  • Vendor Management: Hold vendors accountable to expected outcomes.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Analyze market data to forecast trends, improve purchasing power, and guide roadmap development.
  • Personnel Management: Supervise, train, and mentor staff, including hiring, delegating assignments, and performance monitoring.
  • Process Improvement: Drive continuous improvement in asset management and lifecycle processes, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

Qualifications

  • Education & Experience: Proven experience directing and coordinating procurement, warehousing, inventory control, and distribution functions.
  • Vendor Management: Demonstrated success in overseeing the full lifecycle of vendor engagements.
  • Strategic Leadership: Ability to perform advanced research on market trends, pricing, and supply chain forces to inform decision-making and ensure agency financial viability.
  • Personnel Management: Experience supervising professional and office support staff, including hiring, delegating assignments, training, and performance monitoring.
  • Compliance: Strong working knowledge of federal and/or state laws, regulations, and agency rules governing procurement.
  • Communication: Expert oral and written communication skills with the ability to convey complex policies and procedures to diverse stakeholders.
  • Analytical Ability: Proficient in deductive reasoning and data analysis to interpret results, report findings, and drive process improvements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience within a government or public-sector procurement environment.
  • Proven track record in optimizing purchasing power through market data analysis and vendor management.
  • Expertise in lifecycle management and establishing long-term strategic purchasing goals.
