Purchasing & Inventory Specialist

Serve as a key operational and financial support role overseeing the company’s comprehensive purchasing and inventory operations. This role commands oversight over diverse functions, including procurement, inventory record keeping, asset tracking, merchandising, and Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable (AP/AR) oversight duties. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring all purchasing and inventory functions align with Hive’s strategic objectives, fostering operational excellence, meticulous organization, and seamless interdepartmental coordination to support integration projects and client satisfaction.

Qualifications:
Prior experience or strong familiarity with Smart Home systems, Audio-Visual (AV) equipment, and low-voltage integration parts is highly preferred.
Minimum 1-3 years of progressive experience in purchasing, inventory control, procurement, or a related operations/finance role.
Proven track record in inventory management, asset tracking, and basic financial operations (AP/AR).
Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills with a focus on meticulous attention to detail, particularly with complex part numbers and financial data.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with cross-functional teams, technicians, and external vendors.
Tech-savvy with proficiency in inventory management software, accounting tools (e.g., QuickBooks), and standard office applications.

Functions
(1) Develop and implement strategic plans for large-scale equipment purchases or new vendor relationships.
(2) Oversee execution of standard purchase orders, update inventory records, and process AP/AR tasks; provide updates to management.
(2) Monitor and analyze inventory metrics and purchasing costs to drive improvements.
(3) Ensure consistent organization of the warehouse, track daily assets, and maintain product catalog.
This role is a great fit if you:
Have 1-3 years of experience in purchasing, inventory management, operations, or related back-office finance areas.
