Coral Expeditions is Australia’s pioneering cruise line. We specialise in a unique style of immersive adventures by small expedition ship. With humble beginnings hosting cruises on the Great Barrier Reef, the company has grown into a borderless fleet of three ships carrying between 72 and 120 guests. For four decades, Coral has operated with a single purpose – to take small groups of likeminded explorers to remote places with expert guidance and warm Australian hospitality. We offer a wide range of domestic and international destinations. Coral is part of the NRMA Group, a member-owned brand that also operates NRMA Parks & Resorts, SIXT car rental, NRMA Electric Vehicle charging network and various marine businesses.

As the Purchasing Executive, you will be responsible for assisting with the ongoing provisioning of the vessels, warehouse stock and general office ordering. 

What You'll Do

  • Maintain product/stock codes in relevant software including liaison with suppliers.
  • Raise Purchase Orders as required.
  • Maintain office stock levels for stationery and amenities.
  • Assist at wharf as required for ship turnarounds.
  • Enter order details (e.g. vendors, quantities, prices) into internal databases
  • Maintain records of purchased products, delivery information and invoices
  • Track orders and ensure timely delivery

What You'll Bring

  • Proven work experience as a Purchasing Officer, Purchasing Agent or similar role.
  • Good knowledge of vendor sourcing practices (researching, evaluating, and liaising with vendors)
  • Experience with freight logistics.
  • Excellent computer skills, Microsoft Office 365
  • Experience with Attaché & Helm Martime Operations programs desirable
  • Great organizational and planning skills.
  • Ability to perform tasks autonomously and be a team player
  • Eligibility to apply for Maritime Safety Identification Card
  • Manual Driver’s License
  • Forklift License desirable.
