Are you a purchasing professional who enjoys negotiating, solving problems, and making sure the right materials are available when they’re needed? kdc/one is looking for an experienced Buyer to join our Supply Chain team in Groveport, Ohio.

This is an onsite opportunity where you’ll play an important role in supporting production, managing supplier relationships, controlling costs, and keeping materials flowing efficiently.

What You'll Do

  • Purchase raw materials, equipment, tools, parts, supplies and services to support production needs
  • Review material requirements and utilize MRP to plan purchasing activities
  • Negotiate and manage vendor costs while meeting site requirements
  • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships while monitoring cost, quality and service
  • Place purchase orders and coordinate delivery schedules
  • Monitor inventory levels, lead times and supplier capacity
  • Expedite or delay deliveries as customer and production needs change
  • Maintain accurate material information and purchasing data in SAP
  • Partner with Quality, Production, Finance, Inventory Control and suppliers to resolve material and purchasing issues
  • Review and approve purchasing documentation and invoices
  • Help manage slow-moving and obsolete inventory
  • Support continuous improvement of purchasing processes and workflows

What We're Looking For

  • 3+ years of experience in a Buyer/Purchasing role
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering or a related field preferred; equivalent manufacturing experience will be considered
  • Manufacturing experience strongly preferred
  • Experience with SAP/ERP systems and MRP
  • Strong negotiation, problem-solving and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across departments
  • APICS or C.P.I.M. certification is a plus

The Environment

This is an onsite role based at our Groveport manufacturing facility. While you'll spend time in an office environment, you'll also regularly interact with our production floor and warehouse operations.
